Alllllllllll the bench presses! I was surprised to find out how many people in my a.m. class do NOT like bench presses. Maybe I’m a freak. Ha!
Strength: Bench Press
3 sets x 4 reps:
- 123# — I got 2; should have went with 113# probably
5 rounds of:
- 70% body weight bench press = 93# for me
- pull-ups = blue band for me
My reps were:
- 11 / 7
- 13 / 13
- 13 / 16
- 10 / 13
- 10 / 10
I think only one of my presses didn’t actually touch my chest, and that was on the last set. My forearms feel like tree trunks from the pull-ups. Problem with the pull-ups in round 1 was that I came off the bar too early. Should have hung on there and tried to do 5 more.
I really loved this workout. It’s more of a “take your time and do your best” WOD than a “push through and don’t die” workout. My goal was to stay in double-digits through round 5, and I did!
