Strength: Squat Clean
4 x 6: Oops. I immediately put too much weight on the bar. So I did all 4 sets at 63#. Live and learn! I’ve not had a lot of practice at cleans.
- 800 meter run: I am always the slowest in the class. Surprised? I am!
- 30 hang squat cleans @ 53#: I was also super slow on the bar today. I’d use the sore back from yesterday’s deadlifts as an excuse, but it’s just that — an excuse! I did try pretty hard though to keep good sets of 5.
- 30 clapping push-ups: Last to finish these, but I think only 3 of us did strict. I was down to 2s and 1s at the end of it.
- 30 v-ups: meh
- 400 meter run: now all the sweat comes out.
This was a 6 mile walk/jog. Is everyone else done with summer? I sure am. But look — it was a multi-state tour. Hello Hoosierville.
At mile 5.5 I saw a finish line, but wasn’t done yet:
The bridge in the foreground isn’t the one I crossed, but the one behind it in the distance. During today’s workout I consumed 44 ounces of water and a banana. When I got home and weighed myself, I weighed 2.5 lbs less than when I left the house. Sweat much?!!!
If anything, it was super nice to get out of the house and see the sights. I’m really enjoying my downtown runs because I don’t go out much and it’s nice to have a change of scenery from the neighborhoods I usually run in. So maybe not a great “run,” but it was good for my brain — and that’s more important.
Now? I shower.
