WOD: CrossFit 08.13.2012
Woke up at 5, checked Max’s fever: 103.6. Joy! Got some meds in him and ran off to the gym leaving dad in charge for a bit.
Strength:
Deadlifts!!! Besides a sick kid, this is what had me jumping out of bed this morning.
I had to guess my 1RM at 185. Don’t really know what it is. I’ve done 2 @ 185, so close enough.
12 @ 35% = 65#
12 @ 45% = 85#
12 @ 60% = 110#
12 @ 70-80% = 155#
MetCon: “Rankel”
20 Minute AMRAP of:
- Deadlift, 6 reps (225/155) : I did 135#
- 7 Burpee pull-ups : I did burpee - box step - jumping pull-ups
- 10 Kettlebell swings, (2 pood/1.5 pood) : I did 35# (1p)
- Run 200 meters
Total for me: 5 rounds even.
Then I ran home as quick as I could to check on my sleeping baby. I have a ton, ton, ton of work today + taking care of him. Will make for a challenging day.
This is why I work out so early in the morning when nobody needs me and the world is mostly asleep.
